Who is TaxSolve?
TaxSolve is a specialized team of tax professionals committed to resolving IRS issues. We are experts in handling a wide range of tax problems, including:
- Unpaid taxes

- Business tax issues
Where are you located?
Our headquarters is in Dallas, Texas. However, we can help you with your taxes no matter where in the U.S. you are, primarily over the phone and through our online portal.
I’ve been scammed by another tax company. Why should I trust you?
We’ll be honest — there are a lot of companies out there that overpromise and underdeliver, and that just leads to a bad experience for everyone.
We will always be up front about what we can — and can’t — do for you, and we’ll always be honest with you about how much it’s going to cost.
The consultation
Is it really free?
You bet! The initial consultation with us is absolutely free.
What happens during the consultation?
If you’ve filled out our brief survey, you’ll receive a call within a day from one of our tax advisors, who will walk you through some additional questions to determine if you’re a good fit for any of the IRS tax relief programs.
Do I need all my tax information in front of me?
Nope, estimates are fine for now! But if you have copies of any IRS letters you’ve received, those are helpful to have on hand.
How long does it take?
Plan on spending about 15-20 minutes on the phone with your tax advisor.
What happens after the consultation?
If we determine that you are a good fit for any of the IRS tax relief programs, we’ll explain what we need from you to get the tax investigation started.
The tax investigation
What is a tax investigation?
A tax investigation is a deep dive into your personal tax history that helps our tax experts determine the best resolution plan for you. Think of it like an MRI for your tax issue.
How long does the tax investigation take?
The investigation typically takes 3-4 weeks, depending on how quickly we are able to get the results from the IRS.
Is the fee for the tax investigation the only fee I have to pay?
If you only complete the tax investigation, that’s the only fee you’ll have to pay TaxSolve. But if you choose to move forward with resolution or tax preparation services, that will be a separate fee.
What happens after the tax investigation is completed?
Once the investigation is finished, we’ll contact you via phone and email to schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss the results and our recommendations moving forward.
Tax resolution
What can you do about my tax debt?
It depends. Anyone who promises that they can get you into a certain program or save you a certain amount of money, without looking into your specific situation, is lying. It’s impossible to know what we can do for you until we complete the tax investigation.
Can you guarantee results?
No one can guarantee that they’ll be able to secure a specific type of resolution — ultimately, the IRS makes those decisions.
However, our tax experts know how the IRS works and which strategies work best to plead your case, so you can trust that the resolution we offer you will be the best you can get.
I owe state taxes — can you help me?
No, we don’t handle cases with only state tax issues because state tax authorities generally don’t negotiate on your debt.
However, we can help you file state taxes.
Can’t I just negotiate with the IRS directly?
You can, but we wouldn’t recommend it for two reasons:
- The IRS is notoriously hard to get ahold of. Trust us.
- Trying to negotiate with the IRS is like trying to represent yourself in court without a lawyer. Most people don’t have the knowledge or experience necessary to make sure that they get the best possible outcome.
How long will it take to resolve my case?
Resolution time for tax issues varies based on the complexity of the case. Straightforward matters take a few weeks, while intricate issues may take a year or more. To streamline the process, our team will file a power-of-attorney authorization with the IRS, allowing us to work directly on your behalf.
What if I can’t afford to pay my back taxes?
When you owe back taxes, the IRS offers several options other than full payment. These include payment plans, extensions to pay, and hardship programs, such as not-collectible status and a tax settlement option called an Offer in Compromise. We will evaluate each option with you and get you the best option based on your circumstances.
I received a notice or letter from the IRS. Can you help me?
Absolutely! Our tax resolution experts review your notice, assess your situation and work with you on a plan to resolve your situation. Once you engage us for services, we get right to work with you and the IRS. Our tax resolution specialists stick with you from beginning to end.
Tax preparation
I’m not sure how many years I need to file taxes for. Can you help me?
Of course! We’ll run a tax investigation that will tell us exactly which years need to be filed.
I haven’t filed in years (or ever). Can you help?
Yes, we specialize in filing multiple years.
Can you file my business taxes?
Yep! We’ll just need some information about your business.
Can you take my refund in exchange for payment up front?
No, we require payment in advance.
What do I do if I don’t have all my W-2s or 1099s?
No worries! We can guide you in how to get all of the information we need to prepare your taxes.
Pricing and fees
How much will this cost?
Our service costs vary based on the complexity of your situation. Once we have discussed your situation with you, we will propose one fee to resolve your entire situation. You have no obligation to purchase unless you accept our plan, and you can pay your fees over the time it takes us to complete your case. Your tax advisor will explain the fee structure for our services during your consultation.
What are my payment options?
We understand that finances are a concern for many of our clients, so we offer affordable, no-interest payment plans for our services.
Why should I pay you when I could just pay the IRS?
Great question! When you hire us, you’re paying for our tax experts’ years of experience and knowledge in dealing with IRS issues.
